What is the best way to protect my Hardy controllers, systems and scales from static electricity problems? My system locks up on a regular basis and I think it is caused by static.
I'm starting a learning curve with your products and am not familiar with many of the acronyms used. Can you provide a definition for common PLC terms?
We are replacing our obsolete weight controller with a new Hardy controller and want to reuse the same load cells. Our traditional calibration methods are giving us problems when we try to set the span. I think it's because our old unit has 10 volts excitation and the Hardy unit has 5 volts excitation. When we run the mV calibration signal above 15, we get an A/D Conversion Error on our Hardy unit. Do we need to take our old calibration values and divide by 2?
I am using a HI215IT-PS1 summing box, 3 Hardy load cells and a Hardy weight controller or PLC module. We are also using C2 cable between summing box and Hardy Instrument, and we are hearing a very loud clicking noise at the summing box. What can be causing this?
