Can I copy the parameters in my HI 3000 or HI 4000 series controllers?

How can I download all of the parameters in the HI 3000 series or HI 4000 series units so I have them if I need to set-up a replacement? Are there any parameters that do not get downloaded and need to be manually recorded? Do I need a specific software?

Why can't I communicate with the Ethernet I/P option on a HI 3000 series controller?

I have a HI 3000 series unit with the Ethernet I/P option installed. I have set up and can ping the address with good results. RS Linx also sees the unit on the network. But my Compact Logix processor shows a communications error and cannot get my unit online. What could be the problem?

Why are we getting an A/D error after we replace our old controller?

We are replacing our obsolete weight controller with a new Hardy controller and want to reuse the same load cells. Our traditional calibration methods are giving us problems when we try to set the span. I think it's because our old unit has 10 volts excitation and the Hardy unit has 5 volts excitation. When we run the mV calibration signal above 15, we get an A/D Conversion Error on our Hardy unit. Do we need to take our old calibration values and divide by 2?

On a HI 3030 with ControlNet is it possible to set the date and time remotely through the ControlNet connection?

Why does my ControlNet communication fail on my replacement HI 3000 unit?

I have an existing system with an HI 3000 series unit on ControlNet to my PLC. My original HI 3000 series unit failed so I replaced it with a new HI 3000 unit with ControlNet, but the new unit will not communicate over the ControlNet network. What could be the problem?

Can I map a "clear tare" through software on my HI 3030?

Is it possible to map a "clear tare" through software on my HI 3030 so I can clear the tare through RSLogix? The following mapping exists through internet explorer for DeviceNet: DFO0=+HFI4, DFO2=+HFI8, DFO4=+HFO21, DIO6=+HSI3, DO7.0=+HI1.6, HO1.0=+DI0.0 This mapping equates to: DFO0(DeviceNet Float Output) = +HFI4(Gross Weight chan 1) DFO2(DeviceNet Float Output) = +HFI8(Net Weight chan 1) DFO4(DeviceNet Float Output) = +HFO21(Tare weight Chan 1) DIO6(DeviceNet Integer Output) = +HSI3(Command Status) DO7.0(DeviceNet Boolean Output) = +HI1.6(Motion) HO1.0(Tare 1 command) = +DI0.0(DeviceNet Boolean Input) Is there an instruction to clear the tare? Suggestions?
