The tension load cells we manufacture consist of transducers or sensors that convert the applied load or force into an electronic signal that reflects the same weight as the original load or force. In this case, tension load cells are used for applications where the load may go from compression to tension or from tension to compression during weighing.

Hardy currently carries three different tension load cells, making them ideal for hoppers, hanging vessels and filling machinery. Additionally, the HI STS 'S' tension load cells beam a nickel alloy that are designed for low capacity hanging vessels, hoppers, hanging vessels and filling machinery. Clevis style mounting hardware provides exceptional accuracy while accommodating for side forces common to tension applications. Stainless steel mV/V and mV/V/ohm matched load cells provide high resolution and superior accuracy for outstanding performance. A grounding strap and fixed color code wiring label are provided with each load point.
Tension load cells can be attached to vessels , engine test beds, support rods in architectural designs, and other industrial weighing applications.
