I just purchased new Hardy load cells and an HI 1746WS module. The manual that came with the module says that the software is optional. If the software is optional how does the PLC communicate with the module? Do I need to use the HI WS100 Configuration Software to communicate with my HI 1746WS?
My HI 1756WS Scale Status LED is steady red. Are there field diagnostics for isolation of the failure or must the module be returned to the factory for evaluation?
What is the difference in the three mapping areas where the HI 3030 4-scale motion status can be read, Status word bit 6, Command status, and the Boolean words HI2.12-HI2.15 for each scale?
What are the main differences between using analog or digital communications? Why is digital communications considered a better form of communications?
I cannot configure my HI 1746WS module using RS Logix 500 version 5.5. I get BLM application instead of the OTHER and the G file is grayed out. Using version 6.3 I get a "G file too large" error and the MI and MO files are configured incorrectly. How can I configure the HI 1746WS module in the SLC 500 system?
I would like my HI 3010 to do a print at the end of each fill cycle, but would rather not rely on pressing the print button each time. Can the unit be set up to do the print automatically?
