WAVERSAVER®
Hardy's WAVERSAVER core technology eliminates the effects that surrounding vibration has on the scale weight signal, providing only true data for fast, accurate weight reading.
|
Machinery such as motors, mixers, blenders, vibrators, conveyors, and even forklifts operating around your scales are necessary to process materials. However, each machine can introduce a unique vibratory force to the scale, causing fluctuating weight displays and inaccurate batch weights.
Hardy's exclusive WAVERSAVER® technology:
- Ignores unwanted vibration on and around your scales
- Enables accurate weight readings
- Enables other process activity while you weigh
- Improves batch quality and speed
- Eliminates wasted product
- Eliminates the need to reset the instrument if vibration levels change periodically
WAVERSAVER® enables you to weigh line conveyors, augers, and even mixers while they are running and can be adjusted to ignore signals above 0.25Hz with virtually instantaneous response. No complex poles or corner filters need be tuned.
WAVERSAVER Video Demonstration
Check out our Shaking Fan Demo to see how powerful WAVERSAVER is! You will need QuickTime to play each video. Click on the QuickTime icon if you need to download the free player.
Demo Setup:
- Each video shown below features a fan that is off-balance. It is velcro-ed to our scale and makes the scale vibrate.
- The Hardy weight controller on the left has WAVERSAVER® built-in.
- The instrument on the right uses traditional analog filtering and digital averaging techniques.

SCALE WITH NO VIBRATION |
|
In this first video, the fan is not turned on so there's no vibration on the scale.
Both instruments show an accurate weight reading of 2 lb.

WAVERSAVER IS FAST! |
|
We have now turned on the shaking fan.
With no weight on the scale, the instrument with WAVERSAVER® displays 0 lb., while the instrument on the right gives erratic readings.
When adding a 2 lb. weight, WAVERSAVER® allows the instrument on the left to display a stable weight.

WAVERSAVER IS ACCURATE! |
|
On top of the 2 lb. weight, we're now adding a 0.2 lb. weight on top of the fan, then a .02 lb. weight.
We even remove the 2 lb. weight to show final fast and accurate reading at .22 lb. on the left.
